Report on the Hammer Pond Walk

On Saturday 5th October, 2019, the Thursley History Society led a walk on Thursley Common to look at the Hammer Ponds and talk about the history of the iron industry on the Commons.  More than 30 people (and lots of well-behaved dogs) took part and everyone had a very interesting and happy afternoon, culminating in a delicious tea.
