The Thursley Women’s Institute (WI) was founded in 1915 and by the mid-twentieth century a well-established and active organisation within the village. By 1965, the Institute had reached its Jubilee year, marking fifty years of continuous activity.

The report was delivered by Sally Scheffers, Chairman, at the beginning of the THS meeting on 20th November 2025 where Paul McCue gave a talk on 'Secret Surrey in World War 2".

As usual, Thursley does nothing by half and produced an extensive programme of events for everyone to enjoy
